Are you looking for a Korean restaurant near Batangas City? Well, you’ve come to the right place because I am going to introduce you to one of my favorite eating place here. This is not the first time I blogged about a Korean restaurant here in Batangas. If you want, you can visit my article about “Brothers and Sister Korean Restaurant“. The sad thing is they are now closed.
OK, back to happiness, I found Dae Jang Gum Korean Restaurant while riding on a bus from Batangas City going Manila. The first thing that went on my mind was, “wait for me, I’m definitely coming for you!”. By the way, in Hangul, it is written like this: 대장금 레스토랑 (romanized as dae-jang-geum re-su-tto-rang). Yeah, that’s the way Koreans say restaurant.
Dae Jang Gum Korean Restaurant is located at Pres. J. P. Laurel Highway, Inosluban, Lipa City, Batangas. You’ll find it very easy because it was just beside the highway in front of St. Peter Chapel. Everyone knows it! So what can you expect from them?
Well, they are serving different Korean foods that are really affordable. Shabu-shabu was their flagship product. You can choose from three shabu-shabu flavors. Their tables are built for that. Samgyupsal, Bulgogi and Japchae are some other available and of course, there’s a lot more. (I forgot to take a photo of their menu so I can have a complete list of their foods here. I’ll do that and update this post later.) On the meantime, you can check my humble gallery below:
Just like other Korean restaurants out there (not all), they are serving a variety of side dishes including of course Korea’s most famous food – Kimchi! Yeah, you can ask for more of it if the first serving is not enough. 😀 Their staffs are friendly and nice. You can always see the manager(?) in the restaurant too. (I am not sure if she was the manager or the owner.) The place is very nice too. They just relocated to the current building which is newly built.
So far, my experience at Dae Jang Gum Korean Restaurant was great. I would rate them as 8/10. I’ll be going back there maybe on a monthly basis. 🙂
That’s it! I hope you enjoy these added details.
