Here is Western Digital MyBook External Hard Drive (WDBAAG0030HCH), a plug-and-play storage device for Mac and is compatible with Apples latest software technology – TimeMachine.
The WB MyBook has a storage capacity of 3 Terabytes. That was definitely a vast amount of data. But the sad thing about this external HDD is it’s USB 2.0 interface. I am expecting a USB 3.0 or even Thunderbolt from this one, but it’s not.
The WD MyBook physical design was sleek and elegant which I love. If you’re going to look at it, MyBook’s shape is pretty much the same with a real hardbound book. It’s 6.50″ in height, 1.9″ in width and 5.3″ in depth weighing 1.18kg.
Another thing that is great with this storage devices is its “Illuminated capacity gauge” on the front that shows how much space is available. Yeah! You don’t need your Mac to check its properties!
