Smart Philippines will be officially launching their 4G LTE services tomorrow, August 25. After that, it is rumored that their rival, Globe Telecoms, was on their way to launch their own LTE network on around September 2012. Are you affected with these issues? Or is 4G LTE important to you?
Recently, there is this guy named Piper Jaffray who conducted a survey to determine the feelings consumers have towards 4G LTE. And believe it or not, nearly 50% from the respondents don’t actually feel it’s importance.
By the way, Mr. Jaffray didn’t show us how many are surveyed. Details about their gender, age nor internet behavior are not disclosed too. So basically, that survey was just did to create something like of a “trivia”.
If you’re a consumer who use the Internet for social network updates, simple blogging, few web browsing and watching short videos, then I think it is not worth it to subscribe to an 4G LTE plan. But since Smart 4G LTE has only 10GB bandwidth limit per month, I guess maybe even those who are heavy downloader will not bite this. (I will stay with my unlimited (up to) 3MBPS plan!)
But if you’re interested in experiencing the great speed of 4G LTE, you have the choice to sign-up for it.
