Typing on touch screen phones became a problem to some smartphone users. There are reports that some small-screen-sized Android smartphone provides a small keypad to type on too. If you have big fingers, that may really pose a problem.
In my situation, I am using a Samsung Galaxy 5 (I5503) and its Swype feature was just awesome. But, I don’t use exact English word spelling often. I type my messages in Filipino language which uses a lot of shorted words or shortcuts. Since the default 3×4 keypad keys are very small, I often press the wrong key. My solution was to use the phone landscape mode using qwerty keypad.
But there’s a better fix for that. If you want bigger keypad for Samsung Galaxy 5 (I5500/I5503) or any other Android smartphones with smaller screen, you can get one on the Android Market.

For me, I am now currently using an app named “NumberPad Keyboard” by Matt F. It’s great because I can now type pretty much like the way I create my messages on a Nokia phone. It provides you with some options and was very easy to use. In the Market, it cost $3.99 USD or 169.13.00 Philippine Pesos.
