A lot of us really love Korean foods. As a matter of fact, the Koreans have some of the most nutritious and healthiest food in the world. (I hope that you're familiar with the Kimchi.) Last time, if you're from Batangas and if you want to enjoy their delicious delicacies, you can go to Makati, Philippines where a lot of Korean restaurants are present. But not until today, because we have it here, it is just around the corner!

오누이 ("Kapatid" in Filipino) or Brother and Sister Korean Restaurant is the first and only Korean restaurant in Batangas City, Philippines. It is exactly located at Libjo, Batangas City and they started serving authentic Korean food last May 18, 2011 when they officially opened it for customers.

From the outside, you can see their signboard with a cute cartoon version of a couple wearing the traditional Korean dress - Hanbok. Their building have big posters of some popular Korean foods found on their menu.

The interior was also nice with its simple but unique design. On this view, you can see the glass windows have posters of some of the famous South Korean dramas and K-pop stars (like 2NE1). I even heard that customers take pictures with these as background! Awesome!

The ceiling are designed with Korean-style curtains printed with the name of the restaurant. It is hanged in a cool manner like that in the photo above. With the ambiance inside, you'll definitely feel the "hallyu" (Korean wave) here.

The next thing is to choose your dish from their enticing and delectable menu...

While waiting for your order/s to be served, the staff will prepare your table like this. That's 100% the Korean way of dining! Brother and Sister Korean Restaurant's staff are very friendly. They are willing to answer some of your questions about their food and menu (with a smile, of course).

Aside from your spoon and stainless-steel chopsticks, they will also set the table for your free side dishes. Yes, this one is my favorite part! They have a variety of side dishes to served. Some of what they have already served us includes cabbage Kimchi, fish cakes, potatoes, onion leeks, nori and many other. All of them are mouth-watering and I can't explain how great they are!

Now, below are among the food from their menu which I have tried. You can also try them or you can ask for their best-selling menu when you got there.

Here's my all-time favorite! They call it Odeng-Tang or fish cake soup. This food was very popular among Koreans in South Korea. As a matter of fact, odeng is often seen on some of their dramas. (Remember Jun Pyo devouring all fish cakes he can eat on one episode of Boys Over Flowers? That was fun!)

They are also serving Galbi-Tang. I love this food also! It is made primarily from beef short ribs along with stewing beef, daikon, onions, and other ingredients. Some people said that it resembles the Philippine bulalo but I think it's not. But still, they are both delicious. (Chincha mashita!)

We have tasted Bibimbap (pictured above) once and actually, I am planning to order it again, maybe the next time we're going to visit Brother & Sister. Bibimbap literally means "mixed meal or rice" and it consist of different greens. Before eating, the first thing you should do is to mix it. The raw egg on top also adds taste to the meal. Try it, you'll love it!

And if you're a seafoods lover, they have a place for you. Kimbap, Bulgogi and Teokbokki are also available! By the way, most meal comes with a cup of "bap" or rice. Yeah!

Sorry but I can't discuss all of their awesome foods here. But at least, I have given you the idea of what you can expect from Brother & Sister Korean Restaurant.

They have a mini-mart selling some Korean snacks inside the restaurant. Korean sodas and soju is not a problem because they have all of that for you! Now, I am hoping that soon they will be selling Korean ice-cream like my favorite Melona or anything from Binggrae or Lotte. And before I forgot, they are even selling canned pondaegi. What is a pondaegi? Go there and see it by yourself. Hehehe!

How much are their dishes, you may ask? Food pricing isn't that expensive. Most of their solo-meals cost P250.00 - P350.00 each bowl. Their bowls are big and sometimes a meal can be good-for-two, you just need an extra rice which sells at P50.00 per cup. Just in case that you will come in group, there are beef recipes that are affordable when shared over. So what are you waiting for, visit Brother & Sister Korean Restaurant in Batangas City and enjoy authentic Korean cuisine! Here, even you're not a Korean food lover, you will surely like it. See you there!

Additional info #1: You can order dishes for take-out but it is highly recommended to always choose dine-in.
