After acquiring your student permit for some time before, you can now apply for a non-professional (non-pro) driver's license (or even a professional license if you want). Of course, you are now skilled enough to drive alone on the road and use your private vehicle. So what are the Non-Professional License Qualifications, Requirements and Fees here in the Philippines?
Qualifications
- Must be at least seventeen (17) years old
- Must be physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle
- Must not be a drug user or alcoholic
- Must be able to read and write in Filipino or English
- Must be clean, neat and presentable (wearing of sando, playing shorts and slippers during photo-taking & examinations will not be allowed).
- Duly accomplished Application Form for Driver’s License (ADL)
- Valid Student Permit (at least 1 month old)
- Medical Certificate with official receipt (from LTO accredited or Government physician)
- Negative drug test result (from a DOH accredited drug testing center & Government Hospital)
- Taxpayer’s Identification Number (TIN)
- Must have passed the LTO conducted written and practical examinations.
- For the new Non-pro license fee, you should prepare P100 for the Application Fee, P67.63 for the computer fee, P350 for the license fee and another 67.63 for computer fee. Or just bring at least P585.26 for all the fees and charges.
UPDATE 04/25/2012: To those who are inquiring about the (land transportation office) LTO exams, this link can be used as your online reviewer before taking the driving exams. Thanks to Bobby Dee for the hat tip! :D
